Logicor celebrates construction milestone at Canelas logistics hub

  • Logicor’s new Canelas logistics asset has reached its groundbreaking milestone. Construction work is expected to complete in Q1 2026.
  • A groundbreaking ceremony was held by Logicor on May 28th at the site, attended by the GAIURB President representing the Municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia.
  • The Canelas logistics hub will comprise four units, each with an area of approximately 5,200 sq m GLA
 

24 July 2025 - Logicor, one of Europe’s leading logistics real estate owners, managers, and developers, held a groundbreaking ceremony few weeks ago to mark the placement of the pillars of its 21,400 sqm logistics hub, currently under construction in Canelas, Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto). 

André Machado, Director of Asset Management in Portugal, hosted the event, alongside Logicor’s Portuguese team, celebrating this important milestone with Eng. António Miguel Castro, President of Gaiurb representating the Municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, as well as representatives from CBRE and Garcia Garcia (GC).

The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026. One of the units (5,000 sqm) has already been pre-let, while three units remain available to be let.

Canelas is a strategic asset situated in a prime distribution location, enabling our tenants to maintain seamless logistics operations.
