Logicor announces changes to leadership in Europe

November 25, 2022 | Lucy Bull

Logicor, a leading European owner and manager of logistics real estate in Europe, has today announced changes to the leadership of its business in Central and Eastern Europe.

Ronald van der Waals has been appointed as the Managing Director for Logicor Central and Eastern European portfolio, with effect from January 2023, adding to his current role of Managing Director of Northern Europe.
Ronald will be responsible for continuing to drive the growth of the portfolio in this key region and will continue to be supported by local teams in both regions.
Ronald takes over from Bartek Mierzwiak who successfully grew the presence of Logicor in Central and Eastern Europe over the previous eight years and was an incremental part of the growth of Logicor as a business.
The network of Logicor’s logistics real estate in Central and Eastern Europe spans Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania, totalling over 2.1million sqm and is home to 227 customers, ranging from UPS to Huhtamaki.
As a region, it remains a key focus for Logicor with 43k sqm of space delivered over 2022, 15k sqm under construction and a solid pipeline of over 100k sqm of developments for 2023.

I’m excited to take on this expanded role at a time where the role of logistics and its importance to everyday life has never been greater."

Our deep understanding of the CEE markets, combined with the expertise of the team, will allow us to continue to identify attractive opportunities that will enhance our portfolio and create new value for our customers."

Ronald van der Waals

Newly appointed Managing Director for NE & CEE at Logicor

Ronald joined Logicor in 2022 and brings over a decade of industry experience, having previously worked as Managing Director at CBRE Investment Management, leading office, retail and logistics in the Netherlands, and as a fund manager for the CBRE Dutch office and retail fund.

Our footprint across Europe continues to grow thanks to Bartek and his great team. We have established networks of well positioned real estate, and importantly, relationships with our customers and stakeholders. On behalf of Logicor, we wish him all the best in his next chapter and are convinced he will make this a success as well."

Central and Eastern Europe continues to be a strong focus for us  under the new leadership of Ronald. We have exciting plans to continue  identifying opportunities in and around  major conurbations and key transport hubs where demand continues to outstrip supply of logistics and industrial real estate and which our customers will benefit from."
