Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Analyst to join our dynamic Development team. As an integral part of the team, the Analyst will support the analysis, planning and execution of development projects across various stages. The Analyst will support the German Development team with their daily activities such as market research, financial modeling, reporting and analysis. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where your insights and analyses will directly influence key decision-making processes for successful logistics real estate projects.
The successful candidate will report directly into the Senior Director, Head of Development, Germany.
Main Responsibilities
• Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on local and regional real estate markets, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks to guide project feasibility.
• Financial Modeling & Analysis: Create and maintain internal approval documents, financial models, cash flow forecasts and return analyses to evaluate and highlight the viability and performance of projects.
• Project Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process by gathering and analysing data related to zoning, permits, environmental assessments, and land acquisition. Ensure that property files on the SharePoint sites are up to date and all relevant data is accurately represented.
• Reporting & Presentations: Prepare regular project status reports, including financial performance, cashflow forecasting, timelines, leasing activities and key milestones, and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Site Feasibility & Planning: Collaborate with architects, planners, and other teams to assess potential sites for development, ensuring alignment with project goals and market demand.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Assist in managing relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression and issue resolution.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory changes and ensure that development projects adhere to relevant laws, codes, and environmental guidelines.
• Invoice Management: Review and process incoming invoices together with the relevant internal departments and initiate the required payment steps.
• Budget Management: Manage and coordinate internal budget requests; monitor and track approved budgets.
• Perform special ad hoc projects and analyses, as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
• Some work experience in the commercial real estate field
• Minimum undergraduate degree but preference for graduate degree
• Degree in business, finance, real estate, construction, or commercial development preferred but not limited to these degrees
• Commercial skillset of understanding drivers for growth and profitability of real estate investments
• Interested to develop further into a commercial position within the company
• Exceptional analytical skills with a deep knowledge and mastery of Excel (VBA, DCF, Macros) & PowerPoint
• Has previously worked in a fast-paced commercial environment in a development management analyst capacity desirable
• Keen focus on details
• Excellent oral and written communication skills since interaction with personnel at all levels will be required
• Perfect bilingual German – English, another language desirable
• A strong work ethic, the strength to thrive in a dynamic and demanding work environment, and an ability to meet critical deadlines
