Logicor, a leading owner, manager, and developer of European logistics real estate, has begun the construction of a state-of-the-art logistics facility in Backa, Gothenburg, Sweden. The new facility is part of Logicor's strategic expansion within the Swedish market.
The groundbreaking took place on June 18, in collaboration with the contracted builder Johansson & Rehn, property developers, the project team from WSP and Arris, and other distinguished guests.
The former industrial site is situated just six kilometres north of central Gothenburg, directly adjacent to the E6 which connects Gothenburg with cities including Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen.
The new building in Backa, Gothenburg will be developed to meet high environmental standards, targeting BREEAM Excellent certification.

Director of Asset Management at Logicor, Sweden
In the past year, Logicor's property portfolio in Sweden has grown significantly, with the acquisition of prime sites in Nykvarn in Stockholm South, Staffanstorp in Malmö and the development of the facility in Rosersberg. Additionally, the construction of its development in Länna, south of Stockholm, is near completion.
This expansion will meet the ongoing demand for modern and sustainable logistics properties in prime locations, which continue to outstrip supply.
