Hundreds of students supported through employability workshops - Reach Daventry

August 07, 2024 |

Logicor partnered for the second year with The Talent Foundry, a social mobility charity, who help young people from underserved communities discover their passions and develop valuable employability skills, connecting young talent to employers.

Together, the teams delivered Reach Daventry, a series of core skills development workshops that raise awareness of career opportunities in the real estate sector. These gave young people an insight into the world of logistics real estate management and a chance to get hands-on with day-to-day tasks of Logicor team members.

For Logicor, it was an opportunity to focus on supporting the local communities and young talent located near Logicor’s flagship development, Logicor Park Daventry, by targeting 240 students from four schools in the surrounding area.

“A big thank you to the Talent Foundry and Logicor teams for helping us with this thought-provoking and interesting day at the different schools. I felt it was a privilege to be able to spend time with the Talent Foundry facilitators and to meet and work with the students. We wish you every success with the great work that you do.“

Michael Slattery,

Logicor CEO

“I learnt a lot about warehouses and how products reach the consumer. I also was able to practice lots of skills, learn how to combine them and I learned to come out of my comfort zone”.

Delia,

“The programme has made students consider logistics as a potential career path. It has opened their eyes to the numerous opportunities within this industry and improved their confidence and presenting skills”
