Toulouse Métropole: Logicor Welcomes Airbus to a Renovated Logistics Hub

January 13, 2025 | Sophie Aldbais-Houdoux

Paris, January 8th, 2025 – Logicor, a leading owner, manager, and developer of logistics real estate in Europe, has welcomed a new tenant to its French portfolio. Following extensive renovation work, Airbus has moved into a logistics hub acquired by Logicor.

Since its acquisition in January 2024 by Logicor from Logista, the logistics building located in Colomiers (31), at 5 Chemin de Garrabot, has undergone extensive renovation work. Originally built in 1982, with a 4,000 sqm extension added in 2004, the site now offers a total surface area of 16,609 sqm, along with approximately 50 parking spaces, in a mixed-use neighborhood that is easily accessible by public transport.

Since March, Logicor has made significant investments to improve key aspects of the building's infrastructure: a complete refurbishment of 10,000 sqm of flooring, upgrades to technical systems (boiler, electrical systems, and sprinklers), and the addition of two extra access ramps to streamline vehicle flows. Following this work, the site is now aiming for BREEAM In-Use environmental certification, aligning with Logicor's broader strategy to enhance the ecological value of its portfolio.

The location of the platform attracted Airbus, which decided to lease the entire site due to the announced renovation works.

Laurent Dubos, Country Manager France said “We acquired this platform convinced of its ability to meet the efficiency needs of a demanding user, provided that specific renovations would restore its operational and environmental performance. We are delighted to welcome Airbus and to see one of our buildings contribute to the economic momentum of Toulouse Métropole, a historic European hub for the aerospace and space industries. We hold strong convictions about this region, where we own six logistics, industrial, and parcel delivery assets across Tournefeuille, Colomiers, Lespinasse, and Bruguières, representing over 100,000 sqm of existing space and more than 15,000 sqm under development.”

Located 10 km from the center of Toulouse and just 10 minutes from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, the site benefits from its proximity to the A620 motorway. It provides convenient access to major cities and economic hubs in the south of France.

This transaction was made possible thanks to the advice of BNP Paribas Real Estate, which supported Logicor both during the acquisition and the lease negotiations, as well as the BG2V law firm, which handled the contract structuring with Airbus. Logicor had previously acquired two assets located in Vitrolles (13) and Saint-Raphaël (83) from Logista in 2020.
