This June, a team of 16 colleagues from Logicor Germany joined thousands of participants from across the business community for the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge — a 5.6-kilometre run through the heart of Frankfurt and one of the world's largest corporate running events.
What made this year's participation especially meaningful was the charitable dimension of the event. Every participation fee goes directly to two organisations doing important work: the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation Germany, which uses the power of sport to support the personal and social development of young people in Germany and Austria, and the Deutsche Behindertensportjugend (DBSJ), which promotes physical activity and sport for young people with disabilities, chronic illnesses or at risk of disability — strengthening prevention, social participation and inclusion.
Both causes resonate with how we think about our role as a business. Acting responsibly means looking beyond our own operations and contributing, where we can, to the communities around us. Supporting organisations that use sport as a tool for inclusion and opportunity felt like a natural fit for an event we were already proud to be part of.
On the evening of 3rd June, our colleagues lined up, ran their best, and finished proud.
We are grateful to everyone who participated and look forward to being on the start line again next year.
