Role Overview
Logicor is looking for a motivated and tenacious self-starter to join their Group Treasury function. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment, have an outstanding work ethic and work individually on projects as well as part of a dynamic team. They will possess exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills and have the ability to develop and maintain beneficial relationships with banks as well as colleagues.
Main Responsibilities:
Treasury Management System & E-Banking
- Management of e-banking systems and TMS, ensuring all static data is correct, user profiles documented with appropriate SOD’s and user access reviewed on a regular basis
- Act as the ‘Product Owner’ to identify, select, test and roll out new system functionality / defect fixes
- Implement initiatives to move Business usage away from the Banking portal to the Target Operating Model of centralised ERP and TMS with H2H payments and statements
- Proactively identify ways to further automate activities and add value to back-office activities
- Involvement in various system related projects noted on the Treasury Delivery Roadmap, involving both Treasury managed systems and integrated systems
Daily Cash Management
- Point of contact for payment/settlement queries within the business
- Work with both internal (e.g. accounting, cash and IT) and external parties (e.g. Banks, trade counterparties) to ensure smooth running of daily banking activities and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Monitor scheduler activity and resolve any issues
- Ensure timely trade capture in internal system, process lifecycle events (rate resets, accounts setup, etc.) and resolve reconciliation issues
- Design and lead daily processes and system workflows, ensuring proper functioning of day- to-day controls
- Implement new TMS functionality to support enhanced cash management initiatives (e.g. notional pooling, cash concentration, intraday statements
Reporting, Policies & Controls
- Monitor/execute daily operation reports to ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls
- Leverage system automation (e.g. Power BI) to further automate / streamline Treasury reporting
- Maintain log of all schedulers / folders with relevant descriptions, what these relate to and what action to be taken in the event of any issues
- Maintain the diagram of the integrated Treasury System landscape and understand the integrated system dependencies, Business impact, and relevant points of contact / ownership
- Maintain BCP log for the critical Business activities and the fall-back scenario to be actions in the event of key system failure
- Maintain systems issues log with ticket closure timeframes to aid third party service review meetings
- Assist with third party certification requirements and internal audits related to systems
- Assist in delivering new and improved Treasury policies and procedures including scoping, documentation and roll-out across the business
- Assist in reviewing Operations team documentation processes, ensuring all activities are conducted accurately, efficiently and in a controlled environment
General Duties
- Take ownership of the Treasury systems, acting as the Subject matter Expert providing knowledge / technical support to the team
- Support the Treasury Manager to ensure the smooth running of daily Treasury System and Operations activities
- Support the Treasury Manager and Head of Treasury Systems and Operations with initiatives on the Treasury Delivery roadmap to improve Treasury Operations and the delivery or projects
- Raise the profile of the Treasury department through active integration with other finance departments and provide best in class support for business activities
- Provide ad hoc cover for the other Treasury Analysts and Treasury Manager where required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Ideally hold a bachelor’s degree with strong academic results. Preference for Finance or Economics
- Preference for 2-3 years of previous Corporate Treasury experience
- Ideally hold, or studying towards, a professional Treasury qualification
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excel skills and system skills (e.g. TMS, schedulers, Bank portal, Power BI)
- Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure to multiple deadlines
- This role requires core competencies of attention to detail, ability to drive change, innovate and problem-solving.
