Role Overview

We are looking for a newly qualified accountant with strong technical skills, particularly IFRS, to join the group finance team. The role will focus on the preparation of consolidated financials for quarterly and annual reporting as well as other non-statutory purposes. The role holder will have the opportunity to work across the finance team, as part of a rotation scheme and support ad hoc finance projects as they arise.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of consolidated IFRS financial statements on a quarterly basis
  • Liaison with auditors on the interim and annual audits
  • Develop and run analytical reviews over financial statements for accuracy of financial information
  • Liaison with shared service centre to ensure reporting is completed in accordance with financial reporting standards and to required deadlines
  • Provide technical guidance and information to operating companies and other group finance staff to aid compliance with Group financial requirements
  • Preparation/maintenance of financial reporting papers for audit purposes
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • Ad-hoc project support

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA), ideally first time passes from a major accountancy firm
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in working in/with large, complex, multinational organisations
  • Experience in property/construction preferred
  • Technically strong accountant with excellent IFRS knowledge
  • Excellent Excel and Word skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organised
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Energy and drive to deliver in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Good team player
  • Self-starter, takes ownership and happy to create own processes and manages with multiple / new data sources
