Logicor completes 12,820 sqm Poland warehouse extension

Logicor, a leading owner and operator of modern logistics facilities across Europe, has completed a warehouse extension for Faurecia, the Euronext-listed automotive interior components manufacturer.

A 17,300 sqm manufacturing and warehouse building in Logicor’s Gorzów logistics park, Poland, has been enlarged by 12,820 sqm to create a single building of 30,120 sqm. As well as the building extension, road and transport infrastructure on the site has also been improved.

These enhancements were completed in four months and are part of a built-to-suit investment project designed to support increased production capacity at Faurecia’s existing Gorzów plant. A secondary project phase to expand the building’s office space is also on track for completion in November 2015.

Roman Skowronski, Head of Asset Management, Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) at Logicor said:

"We are delighted to support Faurecia increase their production capacity with this expansion project which we have successfully completed in just four months. We take great pride in helping customer’s like Faurecia improve their efficiency.”

Faurecia has been operating in Gorzów for 12 years and own two production plants including, one built in 2010.

Artur Zielen, Operations Director FIS NER at Faurecia said:

"The decision to extend the plant in Logicor Gorzów was taken in response to growing demand within the automotive industry for our high-quality car equipment. The signing of the agreement and the
co-operation between our Company and Logicor has proceeded perfectly. We would like to thank Logicor, Depenbrock and Panattoni for their professionalism and handing the project within the prescribed period. We recognise it was a considerable challenge to extend the plant within such a short term. Currently, we employ over 600 people at the factory in Logicor Gorzów; however, after completion of the extension there will be 400 additional jobs by the end of 2017”,

Logicor Gorzów is one of 22 warehouse parks owned by Logicor in Poland and is located within the Kostrzyn Slubice Special Economic Zone, near the S3 Expressway (Szczecin - Gorzów Wielkopolski) and A2 Motorway and 50km from the German border.
